The minimal quilted primaloft design means that is is much more windproof than similar weight down or synthetic jackets with stitch through baffles. Because of this limited air movement it insulates like a dream. 

Now the Women's Xenon 2.0 is here and it not only has some performance and style updates but huge advancements in eco manufacturing using 100% post consumer recycled Primaloft fill and recycled Quantum Pertex fabric. The benefits of choosing synthetic filled jackets a great. Generally more robust, they stay warm if they get wet and they're much easier to wash and dry. 

The Women's Rab Xenon 2.0 really stands out in two scenarios - firstly as a stand alone puffy jacket to be used at the crag or on a cold weather hike. The second is as a super warm mid layer in freezing alpine ascents.
